Meghan Markle recently faced backlash for featuring Princess Lilibet in the brand image for her website As Ever. Jane Moore, writing for The Sun, criticized Meghan’s approach, commenting that “as an actress, Meghan is clearly skilled at speaking to the camera as if caught in an unguarded moment.”
Moore also disapproved of using Lilibet’s image on the website, even though the child’s face was not shown. She argued that if privacy for their children is a top priority, the couple should avoid including them in public projects altogether.
The criticism didn’t stop there. Moore suggested that Meghan’s Instagram video served as a reminder of the potential impact she could have had on various royal charity initiatives if she had stayed in the UK as a working royal.
Moore further noted that the couple’s move to step away from royal life and pursue opportunities in corporate America may not have panned out as expected. In her view, being an ex-royal alone is not enough in the competitive world of American business.
“Which is why Meghan is now selling overpriced mustard and other products to cover expenses,” Moore claimed.
In her final remarks, Moore accused the couple of wanting both privacy and profit, saying they “constantly complain about their need for privacy while cashing in at every opportunity.”
