Chairman OGRA hinted at further rise in prices of petroleum products

Chairman Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) hinted at further rise in prices of petroleum products from March 1. In a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Energy, Chairman Ogram Sarwar Khan said that the price of oil has gone up in 12 weeks. There is no precedent for this. As prices go up, the burden will fall on the people.

In addition, it was revealed that the Petroleum Division has purchased another expensive cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for March, at a rate of 25 25 per MMBTU.

Murtaza Javed Abbasi, a PML-N member of the Standing Committee on the issue, said that the purchase of expensive LNG was a failure of the government. I am growing.

The government had on February 15 increased the price of petrol by Rs12.3 per liter, after which the price of petrol has gone up to Rs159.86 per liter.
