DC holds open Katchery to address public grievances

BADIN: Agha Shahnawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Badin held an Open Katcheri in office of Mukhtiarkar Badin with the aim to resolve public issues and grievances related to revenue matters at their doorstep.

The ‘Open Katchery’ was attended among others by a large number of citizens, particularly residents of Badin city and other vicinities while on this occasion, district head of government departments and the Najeeb-ur-Rehman Jamali, Additional Deputy Commissioner-I, Badin, Muhammad Majid Altaf, Assistant Commissioner Badin, Mukhtiarkars and other concerned officers participated in the open Katcheri.

The complaints regarding land registry, sale certificates, accuracy in land records, registry and other land related matters were received in the Open Katcheri.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Agha Shahnawaz Khan issued directives to the Revenue Officers for immediate solutions of the complaints related to revenue while DC directed the concerned officers of other departments to resolve the public grievances on priority after complete investigation and inquiries of the received complaints.

Adding DC directed the concerned officials to resolve the issues and public grievances within short span of the time probably within week and complainants itself should be contacted for further possible documentations regarding his/her matter and submit the report to his office.

DC issued strongly directives to the concerned revenue officers to resolve the legitimate issues of the people without any greed or otherwise legal action to be taken against the concerned officers adding he also directed the officers to treat the citizens with polite and respective way.

Deputy Commissioner observed that if any revenue officer or staffers obstructs the legitimate work or causes undue delay, complaints against him must be lodged in his office so that legal action can be taken without any delays.

He asked the district authorities to resolve the issues faced by the public on a priority basis, warning that all those found negligent in their duties will be proceeded against as per law. He assured the public that the District Administration will address all issues faced by people in the district.

“We, the district administration, are here to serve poor people and solve their problems and grievances and we are doing our utmost to come up to public expectations and need public cooperation in this regard,” said DC.
