Govt will provide all possible support and facilitation to the people of Badin: Ismail Rahu

BADIN: Provincial Minister Sindh for Universities & Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahu has visited different low-lying areas of Badin on Tuesday to review the situation created after the heavy downpour in Badin and monitored the dewatering activities of the city.

On this occasion, Agha Shahnawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Badin, Haji Taj Muhammad Mallah, Member Provincial Assembly and others were also accompanied with him.

Provincial Minister Sindh also issued directives to district authorities and heads of concerned departments to complete the draining out the contaminated water from the low-lying areas of Badin as soon as possible adding he also directed to authorities to provide the machinery and staff wherever it is required.

Provincial Minister also directed the Deputy Commissioner Badin to provide excavator machines at main drains of city for proper cleaning so that the accumulated rain water can be drained out quickly from low-lying areas of district Badin.

On this occasion, Muhammad Ismail Rahu also visited Civil Hospital Badin and while reviewing the relief activities there, he said that health facilities are included in the essential services, so the discharge of water from Civil Hospital areas should be done on a priority basis.

On this occasion, Agha Shahnawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Badin while a briefing, said that lot of contaminated rainy water had accumulated in the low-lying areas of city including civil hospital, which after the efforts of his team has almost been removed.

DC Badin assured that by using all the possible resources, district administration was playing its active role to protect the people from problems and atrocities.

Agha Shahnawaz Khan added that due to the heavy rain falls, lot of rainy water had accumulated in the low-lying areas of district, but as part of timely measures, draining out activities were started through dewatering machines, which is still ongoing while all concerned officers and relevant staff would remain in the field till the completion of draining out contaminated rain water from low-lying areas of city, he added.

DC Badin pleasured that protecting the people from sufferings was the prior responsibility of the district administration and they were trying their best to fulfill responsibilities to provide complete relief to the people of Badin.

Meanwhile Arbab Lutfullah, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh and the relief in-charge appointed by the Chief Minister of Sindh for Badin, also visited the low-lying areas of the Badin.

Other hand, Senator Dr. Khalida Sikandar Mandhro has also visited the city and its nearby rain affected areas where she assured the people of Badin for her full support and possible Govt relief packages to rain affected people of Badin.

When special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh, Pir Noorullah Qureshi also paid monitoring visits of city and reviewed ongoing relief activities along with DC Badin and issued the directives for immediate dewatering of rain water from low-lying areas of Badin and provision of public facilitation.
