National security policy approved by cabinet, will be made public in a week: Moeed Yousuf

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant for National Security Affairs Dr Moeed Yousuf has said that the National Security Policy has been approved by the Cabinet and will be made public in a week.

Addressing a press conference after the cabinet meeting in Islamabad, Moeed Yousuf said that the aim of the national security policy is to protect the common man of Pakistan. If the economy is strong then we will be able to spend on the people.
He said that he would make the national security policy public in a week, he wanted it to be discussed and people to express their views.

He further said that the process of National Security Policy had started from 2014, the civil and military leadership worked together and all the institutions agreed on the draft approved today.

The Special Assistant said that the implementation of the National Security Policy would be reviewed every month on the directives of the Prime Minister.
