President Ladies’ Health Workers demands protection for Polio workers

KARACHI:  The Central President of All Ladies Health Workers, Bushra Arain has demanded security and protection for those Polio Workers performing their duties in far-flung areas to meet national cause amid tough situations.
While talking Bushra Arain, Central President, All Ladies Health Workers, Noor Fatima, Shehnaz Sultana, Zeenat Chandio, Mehwish Khan, Amna Khan, Zarina Rajput, Salma Ashfaque, Seema Baloch, Nazia Memon, Aalia Khan, Aisha Ali, Salma Karim, Aalia Salim and others have condemned the irrelevant act of harassment, exchange of harsh language, exercise to kidnap workers and other incidents during their duties in Hyderabad, Karachi South, Sukkur and far-flung areas of Sindh province.
They said it was regrettable that those Polio Workers and Supervisors deputed to tackle and meet the assignment to save children from any disability were being treated in such a manner.
They demanded the Chief Minister of Sindh, the Provincial Minister for Health, the Secretary of Health, the Director General (DG) of Health, the Incharge Polio Program Sindh and other concerned high-ups to take notice of the matter and protection of Polio Workers during their services.
