Sohaib Maqsood dropped out of the T20 World Cup squad

LAHORE: National cricketer Sohaib Maqsood has been dropped from the T20 World Cup squad.

Sohaib Maqsood suffered a back injury during the National Twenty20, after which his participation in the World Cup was called into question.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief medical officers Dr Najeeb and physio Cliff Deacon recently reviewed Sohaib Maqsood’s injury and advised him to rest.

The PCB said that a decision on the replacement of Sohaib Maqsood would be taken soon.

Sources said that the name of former captain Shoaib Malik is also under consideration as a replacement for Sohaib Maqsood.
