Terrorist attack in Machh coal field, 11 miners killed

QUETTA: Unidentified gunmen shot dead 11 miners and injured several others in Machh coal field.

Police say gunmen abducted miners working in the Machh coal field and took them to nearby hills, firing and injuring them.

Police said that more than 10 miners were injured in the firing, many of whom are in critical condition. The injured are being shifted to Machh Hospital.

Heavy contingents of police, administration and FC have reached the spot after the incident.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Kachhi Murad Kasi confirmed that 11 miners were killed in the firing incident and said that the tragic incident took place in Gushtari area.

Murad Kasi said that four miners were injured in the firing incident and the injured and bodies were being shifted to Quetta by ambulances.

DC Kachhi said that search and sweeping operation has been started by cordoning off the area.
