2nd ODI: New Zealand set Pakistan a target of 337 runs to win

In the second ODI of the five-match ODI series, New Zealand set Pakistan a target of 337 runs to win.

In the match being played in Rawalpindi, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first against New Zealand.

On behalf of New Zealand, Will Young and Chad Bowes opened the innings, but the first wicket of the Kiwis fell on 33 runs and Will Young was dismissed for 19 runs.

After that, Chad Bowes also returned to the pavilion by scoring 51 runs, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Latham played a responsible innings and made a partnership of 183 runs, but Mitchell got out after scoring 129 runs.

Tom Latham then fell victim to a nervous nineties and was caught out for 98 runs by Harris.

The Kiwis scored 336 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. On behalf of Green Shirts, Haris Rauf dismissed 4 players.

Fast bowler Ehsanullah made his ODI debut in today’s match. A video of Ehsanullah was shared by Pakistan Cricket Board while Shaheen Afridi donned the ODI cap to Ehsanullah. One-day cap is given.

Pakistan team includes captain Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafiq, Muhammad Rizwan.

Agha Salman, Muhammad Nawaz, Osama Mir, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Ehsanullah are also part of the team.

It should be noted that in the first match, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets thanks to Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant century.
