7.0-magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Greece kills 14, leaves scores injured

ANKARA: At least 12 people were killed in Turkey and two were reported dead in Greece after a strong earthquake struck the Aegean Sea on Friday.

According to US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake struck off of Turkey’s Aegean coast, north of the Greek island of Samos.

USGS added that tremors were felt as far away as Istanbul and Athens.
