SUJAWAL: Dreading failure the aspirants of Sujawal who appeared in the test of junior elementary school teacher conducted under the administration of IBA Sukkur criticized the manner of test paper saying that “hard” questions were encompassed in the test paper to divest them of their right to employment.
As many as 2,256 candidates from different talukas of district Sujawal tried their luck for the designations of junior school teacher test that took place on 17 September but so far none of them is expecting success.
Among many others unemployment is one of the core issues of the district and this test came as a golden chance but unfortunately they could not grab this opportunity due.
Sharing their views with this correspondent the candidates who fear they might not achieve the desired results said that the Sindh government did want to appoint teachers but perhaps scientists for any modern invention, therefore gave such a tough test paper.
Deedar Ali, a candidate hailing from a remote area of district Sujawal said that he worked hard with the hope that he would pass the test with flying colors but such a bewildering question paper shattered his hopes.
“It was a hard nut to crack especially with the ambiguous options given in the paper, there were several questions with all correct options that left me flabbergasted” he said. Adding that the quality of education being imparted in the public sector schools of Sindh should have been considered by the IBA administration and the Sindh government before making such a tough question paper.
A female candidate on condition of anonymity told this correspondent that she had appeared in competitive exams but this test was probably the toughest test she had ever attempted. The questions of Sindhi-language subject were beyond the qualification of the candidates who appeared for the test. She said,
As per the policy of the Sindh Government those candidates securing 55% marks will be declared pass however candidates of under privileged areas will be declared successful with 40% marks.
Meanwhile MPA of Pakistan People’s Party in view to the current state of affairs suggested Sindh government to reduce passing percentage to 33% following the loss education has suffered during the pandemic and the candidates could not get a proper chance to prepare themselves for such a “tough test”
