Chicken price hike sets record in Badin, being sold at Rs 550

BADIN: The price of chicken meat has touched Rs 500 to 550 in the different cities and towns of the district including Tando Bago, Talhar, Matli, Golarchi, Bafin while merchants were claiming Rs 500 to 550 on their own will and intention setting new record for the ongoing year.
Due to inefficient and irrelevant price control teams and unknown management chicken meat sellers were claiming exorbitant rates to earn maximum profit.
While talking poultry farmers said due to low production and increase of poultry feed people were paying extra money saying that increasing prices of poultry medicines and fodder was also main component of such hike.
Meanwhile, chicken meat sellers said such exorbitant rates have hit their business as consumers were avoiding to buy.
While citizen of Badin including Abdul Sattar, Zafar Solangi, Noor Ali Ansari, Shabir Khaskheli and others deplored that price control authorities have seems foiled and citizens of Badin were left at the mercy of merchants adding that puplic was being looted openly but no one dare to take notice and bring involved to the task.
They appealed to Chief Minister Sindh, Chief Justice and other relevant authorities to take notice of price irregularities and provide relief to the common poor citizens.
It is pertinent to mention that prevailing lock down which has suffered lower and middle class and mountain touching prices of various essential commodities has also partially disrupted the economic survival of poor.
