Clubbhushan case, directing the government to remove the misunderstanding by contacting India

Salamabad High Court has directed the government to contact the Indian government through the Foreign Ministry in the case related to Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.

A larger bench headed by Chief Justice Athar Minallah of the Islamabad High Court heard a petition filed by the Indian High Commission seeking release of four prisoners.

Barrister Shah Nawaz Noon appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner and took the position that 4 prisoners have been released on the request of the Indian High Commission, now the petition has become ineffective, the court of Pakistan has no jurisdiction in the Clubbhushan Jadoo case.

The court said that it is not a question of jurisdiction and it is not a matter of immunity. This question is about the implementation of the decision of the International Court of Justice. Yes, the Indian government may have a misunderstanding.

The Islamabad High Court directed the Government of Pakistan to contact the Indian Government through the Ministry of External Affairs and to clear the misunderstanding regarding the judicial jurisdiction of the Indian Government and adjourned the hearing till May 5.
