More than a year later, the spread of the corona epidemic has not diminished significantly, but the virus is now taking various forms. Although vaccines for coronavirus have been announced at the international and regional levels, and trial trials have begun in most countries, it will take some time for results to emerge. Efforts are also underway to get the corona vaccine in the country, but in the meantime, the second wave of the epidemic is showing its full effects due to our overall negligence in taking precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic. It is reported that during the last 24 hours, 40088 tests for corona were carried out across the country out of which 2408 people were confirmed to have corona virus while 41 deaths were caused by the virus. Thus, the total number of cases of corona virus has reached 506701 out of which 34007 are active cases, while the total number of deaths has reached 10717. It should be noted that the first case of the epidemic in the country was reported on February 26, 2020 and its spread reached its peak in June. However, the number of cases decreased from July and continued to improve till September. In October, and especially in November, the epidemic intensified again. Fortunately, December saw a slight decline in cases and deaths, followed by a decline of up to 15,000 active cases in a month and a half. In short, the spread of code nineteen continues with fluctuations. Elimination or clear reduction will only be possible with the advent of effective vaccines. It is important that SOPs be fully implemented during this period as this is currently the only way to avoid the epidemic.
