KARACHI: Crackdown will lead to protests in all corners of the country: Bilawal warns government
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued a warning to the government.
The opposition Ittehad-e-Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced to hold a rally in Multan on November 30, but the government has not allowed the rally.
Workers from opposition coalition parties have broken through government barriers to reach the venue, but leaflets have been cut against the PDM administration and those providing supplies for the rally, and police have arrested dozens.
In his statement in this regard, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned the government to take the nails of conscience and not even think of cracking down.
He said that there were reports that the government wanted to crack down on the Jails in Multan. If the Jails were harmed, there would be protests in all corners of the country.
He said that if the government carried out state repression against the Jails in Multan, it would be tantamount to burning oil, no matter what, the PPP would celebrate its founding day in Multan in any case.
It may be recalled that the PPP chairman is in isolation due to Corona while Bilawal’s sister Asifa Bhutto Zardari along with the top leadership of PDM will attend the meeting.
