Italian government announces lockdown on Easter

In Italy, the government has announced a lockdown on Easter. According to the news agency, the Italian government has said that the shops of non-essential items will remain closed till April 5.

The government added that citizens would not be allowed to leave their homes unnecessarily. According to the government, a complete lockdown could take place in Lombardy region from Monday.

New cases of corona in Italy have risen by 10% this week.

The faithful across South Asia celebrated Eid-i-Miladun Nabi — the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) — with religious zeal and fervour on Friday. Processions were taken out across South Asia in which participants rode decorated vehicles and children wearing Arabic dresses waved green flags.
