In the first phase of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local body elections, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) led with 17 seats of Tehsil Chairman and 3 seats of City Mayor. The PTI has won 13 seats of Tehsil Chairman, 9 independent candidates, 3 seats of PML-N, 2 seats of Jamaat-e-Islami, 2 seats of PPP and 1 seat of Tehreek-e-Islah.
In the first phase of local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, polling was held on December 19 in 60 of the 61 Tehsil Council (Chairman) seats in 17 districts of the province and 4 out of 5 City Council (Mayors) seats, the results of which are almost complete. ۔
One seat of Chairman Tehsil Council where polling was not held is Bakakhel Tehsil of Bannu where polling was postponed after a commotion at the polling station.
Besides, not a single seat of the city council was polled on DI Khan. Polling for the seat was postponed after an ANP candidate was killed. In other words, elections were held for 60 seats of Tehsil Councils and 4 seats of City Councils.

So far, the results of 51 out of 60 Tehsil Council elections for the post of Chairman have come out, the details of which are as under:

1 Peshawar
The results of all the 6 tehsil councils of Peshawar district have been received according to which Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) on 4 tehsil councils and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on one and Awami National Party (ANP) on one tehsil. ) Succeeded.

4 Khyber
Out of 3 tehsils of Khyber district, complete results have been received, according to which PIT in one tehsil and JUI in one have been successful.
5 Mohmand
Complete results have been received from all the three tehsils of Mohmand district, according to which JUI has won in two tehsils and PTI in one.

Complete results of all 4 Tehsil Councils of Mardan District have been received. JUI candidates have won in three tehsil councils of Mardan while ANP candidate has won in one tehsil.
7 Swabi
Complete results have been received from all the 4 tehsils of Swabi district out of which N-League won in one tehsil, PTI in one, JUI in one and ANP in one.
8 Kohat
Out of 3 Tehsil Councils of Kohat District 2, complete results have been received, out of which PTI has won in one Tehsil of Kohat and Independent candidates have won in one.

10 Hangu
Complete results of 2 Tehsil Councils of Hangu District have been received, out of which JUI has won in one Tehsil and Independent candidate in the other.

Complete results have been received from all the 5 tehsils of Bannu, out of which PTI won in three tehsils, JUI in one and independent candidate in one.
Local body elections postponed in Bakakhel Tehsil of Bannu
12 Lakki Marwat
Complete results have been received in 3 out of 4 tehsils of Lakki Marwat district in which Jamaat-e-Islami won in one tehsil and independent candidates in 2 tehsils.
13 DI Khan
Complete results of all 5 Tehsil Councils of DI Khan have been received, out of which Independent candidates in 2 Tehsils, Jamaat-e-Islami in one, PPP in one and PTI in one have been successful.
14 Tank
Complete results have been received from both the tehsils of Tank district and JUI candidates have been declared successful in both the tehsils.
15 Haripur
Complete results have been received from all the 3 tehsils of Haripur district, out of which 2 were won by PML-N and one by an independent candidate.
16 Buner
Complete results of 5 out of 6 tehsils of Buner district have been received. PTI won in 4 tehsils of Buner and ANP won in one.
17 Bajaur
Complete results of one of the two tehsils of Bajaur district have not been received.
Re-polling will be held at some polling stations in 9 tehsils
Re-polling will be held at 2 polling stations in Lakki Marwat tehsil of Lakki Marwat district.
