Now I will take action if the board removes me from the team without reason: Imad Wasim

Pakistan cricket team’s famous and experienced all-rounder Imad Wasim says that if he is now removed from the national team without any solid reason, he will take action against it.

In Jio Super’s program Score, Imad Wasim spoke about the injustice meted out to him during the previous setup of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The host Yahya Hussaini asked Imad that ‘this was the anger of twenty-seven years that you had to take out in PSL 8? Did you have to answer someone with your performance? In response, Imad said with a smile, ‘No, there is no such thing, performances were happening everywhere, I have always believed in my abilities and will always, I would have said this myself. If I can’t perform at that level, then I should take retirement and be on the sidelines.

The all-rounder said ‘Alhamdulillah, Allah has given me so much respect, I will play with respect and I will retire with respect’.

When asked about the loss of the host year after year, Imad said, “It is disappointing not to play for Pakistan, but I have not suffered any financial loss, but I have earned 10 times more than that.”

Imad Wasim said that ‘I have heard some things that they (Cricket Board) said that the conditions were such that they could not feed Imad, if the conditions were an issue, the South African league would not have signed me, it is political in the league. Couldn’t play because of the problem, the rest of Big Bash wouldn’t have signed me.
