Prices of petroleum products likely to rise from January 1

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary of the increase in prices of petroleum products to the Petroleum Division.

Sources said that the final decision would be taken by the Finance Ministry after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan and the new prices of petroleum products would be announced tomorrow.

It may be recalled that the federal government had recently increased the prices of petroleum products. From December 16, the price of petrol was increased by Rs 3 per liter while the price of diesel was also increased by Rs 3 per liter.
