Today is Date of Birth of Legendre Sindhi poet Servech Sujawali . He was born on March 14, 1937 at Ibrahim Tariro village in Sujawal district. His real name was Muhammad Siddique. He started poetry in 1957. He gained popularity for his revolutionary utterances, particularly when he sung his poems during the rise and hanging of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Sarvech had been jailed a number of times, particularly during MRD Movement along with his two sons and suffered immensely for his daring and extempore poetic utterances at numerous public gatherings of almost all political leaders, like G.M. Syed, Mumtaz Bhutto and Rasool Bux Palijo. His first poetry collection was published in 1972. He died on 22nd October 2007. His second poetry collection was published in 2008.
