SHIKARPUR: A meeting of the general body of the Save Shikarpur Movement was held under the chair Qari Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Madani on Monday. The meeting expressed concern over shortage of drinking water and the unannounced load shedding of gas and power. The participants also demanded shifting of cattle farms out of the residential areas and construction of the boundary walls around all the graveyards in the city. Qari Mujeeb-ur-Rehman said that a rally will be taken out on the February 2nd for the provision of basic civic facilities to the people of Shikarpur. He added that the leaders of different parties which include JUI-F, QAT, Jamaat-e-Islami, JUP, STP, Shikarpur Small Traders’ Association, APCA, Printing Press Association and other organizations will participate in the rally which will march through different parts of the city.
