Shahbaz Sharif’s letter to the Chief Election Commissioner, demanding action related to Daska election

Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif in a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has demanded that action be taken against the officials involved in Daska election theft.

Shahbaz Sharif wrote in the letter that the perpetrators of election rigging should be caught behind the scenes and action should be taken against them. Complaints should be lodged in the court against the officers and staff involved in the case. Punishment process should be started against the identified persons.

The Leader of the Opposition in a letter to the Election Commission also said that those who issued instructions to the district authorities with criminal intent should be arrested.

He further wrote that the rules, code of conduct and the Election Act should be amended in consultation with the political parties so that there would be no irregularities like the forthcoming Daska elections.
