Sindh Government always takes sincere efforts to provide better health facilities: Dr. Azra Pechuho

BADIN: Provincial Government of Sindh always took sincere efforts to provide the better health facilities to the people of Sindh. The best health and the highest attainable quality of health is a fundamental right of every Pakistani being without distinction of race, religion, political & economic condition.

These views were expressed by provincial Minister Sindh for Health & Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Pechuho while inaugurating the one-day camp of “Cleft Lips & Cleft palate patients” at old building of District Head Quarter Civil Hospital Badin on Wednesday organized by administration of Clapp General Hospital Lahore.

Dr. Pechuho said that despite shortage of the funds Sindh Government was taking all its possible solid steps for the facilitation of the people of Sindh by providing good health facilities adding that concerned institutes and organizations must come forward to put in their contribution for the people of Sindh in context of providing quality health facilities.

“No one should get sick and die just because they are poor, or because they cannot access the health services they need,” she added saying that provincial Government vowed to ensure access to acceptable, and affordable good health facilities to the people of Sindh province.

On this occasion, Dr. Ghulam Qadir Fayaz, while a briefing to Provincial Health Minister, said that through setting up camps for operation of ‘cleft lips and cleft palate patients’ organized by Clapp general hospital Lahore more than 5753 cleft lips and palates patients have been operated in across the Sindh province when 728 cleft lips and cleft palate patients have been operated in district, Badin.

Adding he said that Clapp General Hospital Lahore was providing quality services in more than ten countries including Pakistan and Afghanistan across the world for operating ‘cleft lips and cleft palate patients.

When provincial Minister Sindh for Health & Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Pechuho also visited ‘Munnu Bhai Thalassemia Care Center Badin’ and where she applauded the taken sincere efforts of Dr. Haroon Memon for facilitating the poor people of downtrodden areas of the district Badin and across the province.

On the occasion, Parliamentary Secretary for Health Qasim Siraj Soomro, MPA Haji Taj Muhammad Mallah, Mujeeb Rehman Jamali, ADC-I, Dr. Sher Mohammad Nohrio, District Health Officer, Mohammad Majid Altaf, Assistant Commissioner, In-charge, Thalassemia Care Center, Dr. Haroon Memon and other officers of related departments were also present.

Other hand, unfortunately, the media, well-citizens and workers have kept uninformed from the visit of provincial minister Sindh and kept it as confidential amid to avoid the complaints regarding non-availability of necessary health facilities in DHQ hospital, lack of specialist doctors including heart disease specialists, lack of ICU, less quality medical treatment, promotion of referral systems and others many health related issues of district Badin.
