‘STAND WITH GAZA’: Climate Activist Greta Thunberg moves Internet against Israeli atrocities

Climate activist Greta Thunberg expressed her support for Palestinians in a social media post, coinciding with Israel’s intensified attacks on Gaza in response to actions by Hamas. Thunberg, renowned for her climate advocacy, used her 270th week of climate strike to draw attention to the Palestinian cause. Through an Instagram post, she called for an immediate global outcry for a ceasefire, justice, and freedom for Palestinians and all affected civilians. The post featured a picture of Thunberg and three others holding pro-Palestine posters. This statement of solidarity occurred amidst the ongoing tensions and violence in the region. Additionally, earlier in the week, Thunberg faced legal action in the UK due to her participation in a protest at an oil and gas conference in London. She was released on bail and is expected to appear in court on November 15.
