Political and social leaders and the military leadership are paying tribute to the demise of Mohsin Pakistan and renowned nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was rushed to the hospital this morning due to lung ailments. However, despite the best efforts of doctors, he could not recover and at the age of 85 he went to see Khaliq Haqiqi.

Paying homage to Mohsin Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan in his statement on social media said that Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan played a pivotal role in making Pakistan a nuclear state due to which the Pakistani nation loved him immensely.
Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr A Q Khan. He was loved by our nation bec of his critical contribution in making us a nuclear weapon state. This has provided us security against an aggressive much larger nuclear neighbour. For the people of Pakistan he was a national icon.

The Prime Minister said that Dr. Abdul Qadir protected us from a neighboring country with an aggressive nuclear power, Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan was a national hero for Pakistanis.

Shahbaz Sharif termed Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan as a great loss to the country and wrote that Dr. Abdul Qadeer played a central role in making Pakistan a nuclear power. But regrets have been expressed.

Talking to Geo News, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that Dr Abdul Qadir has played a key role in making Pakistan a nuclear power.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s services to Pakistan are innumerable.
