The President, Prime Minister and Army Chief among others expressed condolences on the demise of Dr Qadeer Khan

Political and social leaders and the military leadership are paying tribute to the demise of Mohsin Pakistan and renowned nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was rushed to the hospital this morning due to lung ailments. However, despite the best efforts of doctors, he could not recover and at the age of 85 he went to see Khaliq Haqiqi.

Saddened to hear the news of Dr. Abdul Qadir’s death: President
President Dr. Arif Alvi, while expressing sorrow over the demise of the nuclear scientist, tweeted that he was deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of Dr. Abdul Qadir. I have known Dr. Abdul Qadir personally since 1982. His services will never be forgotten. Dr. Qadeer was a national hero: Imran Khan
Paying homage to Mohsin Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan in his statement on social media said that Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan played a pivotal role in making Pakistan a nuclear state due to which the Pakistani nation loved him immensely.

The Prime Minister said that Dr. Abdul Qadir protected us from a neighboring country with an aggressive nuclear power, Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan was a national hero for Pakistanis.

Imran Khan further said in his tweet that Dr Abdul Qadir will be buried in Faisal Masjid as per his wish. The nation has lost a true benefactor: Shahbaz Sharif
Expressing condolences on the demise of Dr Abdul Qadir, PML-N Vice President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif tweeted that today the nation has lost a true benefactor who served the motherland wholeheartedly.

Shahbaz Sharif termed Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan as a great loss to the country and wrote that Dr. Abdul Qadeer played a central role in making Pakistan a nuclear power. But regrets have been expressed.

May Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of Dr. Abdul Qadir: Army Chief
On the demise of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan rendered invaluable services for strengthening the defense of Pakistan, may Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Dr. Abdul Qadir played a key role in making Pakistan a nuclear power: Sheikh Rashid
Talking to Geo News, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that Dr Abdul Qadir has played a key role in making Pakistan a nuclear power.

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s services to Pakistan are innumerable.
