The spokesman further said that the federal government has imported 1.5 million tonnes and the Punjab government has also imported 1.5 million tonnes of sugar while the Punjab government has sold 80,000 tonnes of sugar and the rest is in the process of being sold. Has been subsidized.
“Punjab needs 2,800 tonnes of sugar for domestic consumers and we have a stock of more than 15 days. The private sector has 46,000 tonnes of sugar in the province,” he added.
