9th death anniversary of noted politician Abdul Salam Thaheem today

HYDERABAD: Today is the ninth death anniversary of noted politician Abdul Salam Thaheem. Born on 1st January 1950 at Village Tayeb Thaheem, Taluka Shahdadpur, he graduated from University of Sindh.
His political career began in 1968 as an active member of Pakistan Peoples Party. He served as Taluka and District President and Information Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party. He was elected as a member of Sindh Assembly in 1988, 1993 and 2008. He served as Provincial Minister of Excise and Taxation, Education and Forestry. He also served as Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority. He died on 22nd April 2012.
