JACOBABAD: Central Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said that the aim of the PDM movement is to end the interference of the Establishment in politics, there is a fear of “fog” in the Senate elections as well. The forces are still trying to intervene. None of us will be sold in the Senate elections. There are conscientious objectors, corrupt and nomadic people in the government pages, so they are in danger of selling their votes. He expressed these views while talking to the media in Jacobabad after condoling the death of eleder brother of Dr AG Ansari, District Ameer of JUI. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri further said that the opposition parties fielded joint candidates in the by-elections and we won all over the country. Our candidates were successful in Kurram Agency and Daska but the results were changed. If there is no interference, we will win, as evidenced by the by-elections, while in the 2018 elections, the worst rigging in history was carried out and incompetent people were given a government, the consequences of which the entire nation is suffering if the Establishment does not interfere in politics. So JUI will win in the whole country including Punjab, Sindh.He said that the aim of the PDM movement was to end the interference of the Establishment in politics and elections and our struggle would continue. With the complete restoration of democracy, our friendly countries will come closer to us. Today, the atmosphere is changing all over the world. When the army intervened in Burma, people came out. That true democracy should be restored in the country and the institutions should work within their constitutional framework which will lead to development and prosperity in the country.Replying to a question, Maulana Haideri said that there is a danger of fog in the senate elections as well. Every effort is being made to defeat us. The forces which had openly interfered in the 2018 elections have also interfered in the Gilgit elections. The posted brigadier has been transferred to Kashmir and preparations are being made to intervene there as well, so we fear that the senate elections will be interfered, the JUI-F secretary general said, adding that there is no conscientious objector in our pages. People have landed in Quetta by parachute. They will not get votes from our pages. However, they can get votes from government pages. Those who are selling their votes in the Senate elections are actually selling their conscience and the trust of the people in their constituency.He said that Imran Khan is in danger that his people will be sold so he is talking about open vote, government pages include conscientious sellers, vote sellers, corrupt and nomadic people so he is in danger, we are in danger. No, we will get our vote, he said, adding that inflation and unemployment in the country have upset the people, the purchasing power of the poor has responded, the people are worried for a two-time bread, no treatment is available in the country.
