SHIKARPUR: Higher Education Commission of Pakistan [HEC] initiates games including women Volley Ball and Tug of War (Rasa Kashi) to encourage a healthy atmosphere this regard All Pakistan Intervarsity Volley Ball and Tug of War (Rasa Kashi) games have been started in Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur in which students of the 13 universities participated, here on Saturday.
Dr. Raza Bhatti, the Vice-Chancellor, SAU Shikarpur, and Professor Wazir Ali Mahar, the former Principal of C& S Degree Shikarpur, inaugurated the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raza Bhatti said that HEC has been providing chances in the education field and games as well adding the students of 13 universities from them 10 universities belong to Punjab Province.
Dr. Raza Bhatti further said that HEC has initiated a program Kamiyab Jawan comprising of 35 female students and 23 male students to encourage university students furthermore I am thankful for participating teams, vice-chancellors of all universities and HEC chairman to encourage Shaikh Ayaz University.
Professor Wazir Ali Mahar, said that the efforts of Dr. Raza Bhatti for the education and for the students are appreciable and termed it healthy activity.
The students of Agriculture University Faisalabad, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Sir Syed University Karachi, University of Lahore, Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur, University of Victory Lahore, Punjab University, University of Management and Technology Lahore, University of Lahore, University of Central Punjab, Khuwaja Fareed Uddin University Rahimyar Khan, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro participated and their semifinals and finals would be played.
Besides, All Pakistan Intervarsity Championship 20-21 Volley Ball [Women] would be initiated from 1st March to 3rd March in which 11 teams are participating.
