JAMSHORO: At least 15 people were killed and six others injured when a passenger van collided with a truck on the Indus Highway near Manjhand town of Jamshoro district here on Wednesday afternoon. .
The passenger van was headed from Sehwan to Hyderabad when it met with the accident near Manjhand.
Jamshoro SSP Javed Baloch and the area’s deputy commissioner, Fariduddin Mustafa, were quick to arrive at the scene of the accident.
Rescue services retrieved the bodies from the van and shifted the injured to the hospital in nearby Manjhand town.
The injured were later shifted to hospitals in Jamshoro and Hyderabad due to lack of facilities in Manjhand. The deceased were identified as Altaf son of Mohammad Shahzad Solangi , Shafi Mohammad son of Mohammad Iqbal Kalhodo , Sajid son of Mohammed Khan Solangi , Ashiq Ali son of Kundal Kalhoro , Mashoq son Jarro kalhoro, Pathan Wistro, Asif son of Muhammad Paryal Kalhoro, Saeed son of Muhammad Shahzad, Mashhoq Solangi, Saffar sin of Nazar Muhammad, Ahsaan son of Rakhyal Shakeel son of Badal Kalhoro.
