Concept of religious tolerance and peace and security in Islam

By: Najeeullah Bhatti
Recently, an unholy conspiracy was hatched in France to injure the faith of Muslims by publishing blasphemous sketches of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) at the official level, and as usual, a crude attempt was made to call it “freedom of expression”. The blasphemous sketches of the Prophet of Islam under the guise of expression are a conspiracy to destroy world peace and order which is highly reprehensible in the eyes of the wise people of every religion. While Islam has taken care of tolerance the most, though the history of humanity. It is a living fact that no religion or ideology spread without the sword. Sword and war seem to have been a prerequisite for the domination of religion and the promotion of ideas, but Islam is the first religion to establish the principles of war.

Islam is a universal and universal religion, its teachings are for all mankind, Islam does not only address people of a particular class, civilization and color and race, but also addresses all human beings, that religion is mercy. Therefore, the meaning of the word Islam is peace. Then the one and only God whom Islam declares to be God is the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. The meaning of Islam, its aims and teachings, its beginning and evolution and its publication are all guarantors of peace and security, so where can there be more peace and security than this religion?

Allah says: Translation: Allah has ordained for you the religion which was decreed to Noah, and which was revealed to you, and which was decreed to Musa and Isa that you establish the religion and in it Do not differ. (Surah Ash-Shura) A religion which has always been the religion of all the Holy Prophets and which is pleasing to Allah, its name is Islam, it is said: Translation: In the sight of Allah, religion is only Islam. (Surah Al-Imran) There is no room for coercion in such religions, people are given the choice in every choice and successful choice, so that one can know who is on the right path and who is on the wrong path. Islam is a universal and universal religion, its teachings are all It is for human beings, it does not address people of any particular class, region, civilization or race, but it addresses all human beings, it is a religion of mercy for all.

Irshad Bari Almighty whose meaning is as follows: My mercy in the world is over every believer and disbeliever, good and bad, all as a result of which they continue to receive the blessings of sustenance and health and well-being. In the same way, the Holy Qur’an has declared the last of the Prophets, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as a mercy for all the worlds. The divine instruction is: “And (O Prophet!) We have sent you as a mercy for all the worlds.”

It is said in Surah Al-Ahzab: “The fact is that there is a perfect example for you in the person of the Holy Prophet.” That is, only the person of the Holy Prophet is the person of beliefs, thoughts, worships, affairs, morals, society, politics, economics, purpose. There is a perfect model and perfect example in every sphere of life. The statement of the government of the two worlds is esteemed: I am full of mercy, I have been sent by Allah. (Jamia Saghir)

The divine instruction is: “O people! The fact is that We created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and families that you may know one another. Indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of Allah is the most pious of you. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. ”(Surat al-Hujurat)

This verse states the great principle of equality that the standard of one’s honor and dignity is not one’s nation, tribe or homeland, but piety, and Allah Almighty did not create different tribes or nations because they are one another. But show your pride, but their only purpose is to create some division for mutual recognition among countless human beings. On the occasion of the farewell pilgrimage, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Your blood, your wealth and your honors are forbidden to you, just as today is forbidden to you. That is, just as the day of the farewell pilgrimage is great for Muslims. It is sacred and no one can think of violating its sanctity.

In the same way, the blood of a Muslim cannot be shed unjustly, his property cannot be snatched and he cannot be humiliated. Shari’a has always commanded tolerance and kindness. In Surat al-Ma’ida, the Lord of Glory says: Is fully aware of the work. ”This verse is the basis for tolerance that tolerance is equated with justice, meaning that those who differ in religion, culture, language or race Every person, whether he is a friend or an enemy, should be treated fairly, he should not be discriminated against because of his religion, etc., nor should he be subjected to any kind of abuse or oppression. The meaning of this verse is that your enmity and enmity towards any nation should not persuade you to abandon justice, but you have to do justice in all circumstances.

Therefore, generosity should be shown and the religion, beliefs and ideologies of others should be encouraged to be tolerated and religious, political, intellectual and scientific tolerance should be dealt with. “Islam” “Security and” “Faith” is peace, it is the religion of humanity and the bearer of peace and security. In all religions of the world, Islam has the distinction that it is based on peace and security and religious tolerance.

In Surah Bani Isra’il it is said: “And the fact is that We have honored the children of Adam.” Yes, and distinguishes between good and evil. For the purpose of honoring mankind in many ways, the Almighty gave him superiority over his other creatures.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Even if these disbelievers keep turning away, (O Prophet!) Your duty is only to convey the message in a clear manner.” If they do not bow before Allah, then do not grieve at all. You have done your duty. All the necessary things have been told openly.

Syedna Farooq Azam was a non-Muslim slave. He had a heartfelt wish that if the circle converted to Islam, he would be given some responsibility. He repeatedly expressed his desire to him, but he always refused. Hazrat Umar used to say the same thing on his refusal: “There is no ikraah in the religion”. Then he set him free. (Kitab al-Amwal)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Invite people to the path of your Lord with wisdom and good advice.” (Surat an-Nahl) It is directed to enlighten the non-Muslims with the Islamic teachings of peace and security, justice, equality and tolerance, compassion, generosity and humanity and invite them to the religion with effective advice and wisdom. But there should be no pressure or coercion. If they do not believe and want to talk and debate about religion, then there should be a very generous and cheerful religious dialogue.

Islam recognizes the religious affairs of all human beings as well as commands them to be guided and called to the divine system, so that man may have peace in this world as well as a peaceful life in the Hereafter ۔
