KANDHKOT: The District Election Commissioner Kashmore-Kandhkot Muhammad Hanif chaired a meeting of the District Voters’ Education Committee which was attended by the district officials and the civil society leaders. Addressing on the occasion, DEC Muhammad Hanif urged all the officials and the members of the District Voters’ Education Committee to spread awareness amongst the people about the importance of the vote and get their votes registered. He also stressed the need of finalizing the errorless voter lists under the guidelines of the Election Commission of Pakistan, He added that the steps should be taken to increase the women’s participation in the local bodies’ elections and the general elections. The DEC further said that it is the responsibility of all the stakeholders to take steps for strengthening democracy in the country by making all out efforts to spread awareness amongst the masses.
