Drive against encroachments in Jacobabad

JACOBABAD: A large scale operation has been launched against illegal encroachments in Jacobabad city. On the orders of DC Jacobabad, the Assistant Commissioner and Mukhtiar Kar along with a large contingent of police launched the operation from Sarafa Bazaar.Municipal staff demolished the stairs and other encroachments in front of the shops in sarafa bazar . The Police cordoned off the area and stopped the movement of people. The operation was carried out on the orders of the Supreme Court.When contacted, DC Jacobabad Dr. Hafeez Sail said that the operation against illegal encroachments was being carried out on the orders of the Supreme Court. In the first phase, enchroachments will be removed from business areas and then the city will be beautified by removing occupations from the city’s main roads – DC added that citizens and businessmen should cooperate as doing so will beautify not only the city but also the country.
