Emergency use of two corona vaccines was allowed in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Emergency use of two corona vaccines has been allowed in Pakistan.

In a four-day consultative meeting in Islamabad, officials of the Drug Regulatory Authority (DRA) approved the import of a vaccine from a Chinese company called Synoform to prevent corona. A spokesman for the Ministry of Health said that the effectiveness of China’s cyanobacterial vaccine was up to 79%.

The spokesman said that the license would be reviewed keeping in view the quality and safety standards of the vaccine.

Prior to Sinofarm, a Karachi-based company was allowed to import vaccines from a British company called AstraZeneca.
