SUJAWAL: Acute shortage of Medicine and consumables, lack of doctors, and high-handedness of Malik Adam Programme Manager Medical Emergency and Resilience Foundation triggered a vociferous protest at Sujawal the district headquarter by Joint Action Committee comprising Pakistan Paramedical Association and All Pakistan Clerk Association here on Thursday.
Protesters protesting outside Civil Hospital Sujawal demanded the sacking of Malik Adam programme Manager of Medical Emergency and Resilience Foundation who is believed to be the sole responsible for the pathetic plight of Hospitals and health care units in both the districts-Thatta and Sujawal.
Members of the Paramedical Association and Clerk Association alleged that the standard of health care had declined in all hospitals and health care units of both the districts ever since MERF took administrative control of hospitals and health care units.
Khadam Mastoi, Mir Shakeel Talpur, Aijaz Mamnai, Ramchariyal, and others said that; Shortage of medicine, Consumables, and life-saving drugs in the hospitals of Thatta and Sujawal districts put the life of poor patients at risk, and MERF administration and Malik Adam should be held responsible for that.
They lashed out at Malik Adam for his alleged involvement in embezzlement and misappropriation of funds. He has filled his pockets with the money meant for the development of hospitals and basic health units; they claimed.
They announced to launch campaign MERF administration and in view to that sit-ins shall be held outside CM house and Karachi press club from 15 to 18th of this month.
