KARACHI: : Legendary Fast Bowler and member of cricket committee Waseem Akram has criticized the strategy of the Cricket Committee saying that one gathering in a year was not enough to improve the standard of Pakistan Cricket.
While talking to media reporters in Karachi he said that: He did not interfere in the work of PCB but false rumors regarding his interference were being spread by those who didn’t want Pakistan Cricket to develop.
“Neither I can exhort chief selector (Mohammad Waseem) to select any player nor I have the time to do that, I do not believe in using influence for selection it must be done on merit”; Wasim Said
He said that: Chief selector was appointed by PCB and he had the exclusive authority to select the team.
When asked about Sharjeel he said Sharjeel was taking adamant efforts to improve his fitness level for making a comeback in the side. He further added that it was hard to remain in a biosecure bubble but it was the need of the day as well.
