Kashmore growers protest against Irrigation Department, shortage of water

KASHMORE: The local growers of Kashmore led by the General Secretary of the Sindh Abadgar Committee GM Khoso recorded a protest demonstration against the Irrigation Department authorities on Friday. While talking to the media, the protest leaders said that the Irrigation Department has released water at a time in all the canals which has increased the speed of water resultantly growers are unable to get water for their agricultural lands. They demanded of the concerned authorities to provide a share of water to the province of Sindh from Guddu Barrage instead of Tonsa Barrage. The protesting growers also demanded of the higher authorities to release water to the Pat Feeder, BS Feeder and other canals also to save the growers of these canals from the financial losses.
