Journalists always play pivotal role for redressal of public issues: Swai Khan Chhalgri

BADIN: The immense and valuable role of the journalists for highlighting the public issues could never be ignored.
These views were expressed by Director Information, Hyderabad Region, Swai Khan Chhalgri during reception honoured by Badin Press Club.
Mr Chhalgri said during natural disasters and flood, the journalists of Badin highlighted the woes and sufferings of affectees in such a way that the International donors were compelled to assist the affectees.
Mr. Swai said people of Badin have always encouraged and lauded those officials who rendered their services for the sake of welfare and betterment of people. The Director Information said during his tenure and posting in Badin he coordinated with district management and district government to initiate public welfare schemes and projects while introduced lots of artists, literary figures and poets adding more monogram of district government Badin and website was also introduced by him.
He said he would continue to render his services for the people of Badin and welfare of journalists.
While addressing Deputy Commissioner Badin, Agha Shahnawaz Khan said it was information technology era and it was essential that information department must highlight the constructive initiatives taken by the government of Sindh but also indicate those faults.
Mr. Agha said the government of Sindh was working hard for the development, betterment and welfare of the people of province but those were not highlighted through media. The Deputy Commissioner said each and every one of the society must courage to bring out real change adding that people of Badin were sustaining hardships due to water scarcity and utilization of contaminated water. He said the management of Indus hospital Badin was not following the agreement properly made with government of Sindh saying that the attitude of guards of the hospital was unfair while the lack of specialists was causing poor and needy people hailing from various parts were suffered.
The Deputy Commissioner said despite of limited budgetary allocated for, he has worked lot if compared to past. Mr Agha Shahnawaz said Badin deserve share of Talhar cattle market adding that they were striving to introduce separate cattle market in the jurisdiction of Talhar to gain income for Badin. The Deputy Commissioner said media must play part for awarness regarding the Corona Vaccination. The event was also addressed by President, Badin Press Club, Tanveer Ahmed Arain, vice president, Shoukat Memon, Murtaza Memon, Malik Illyas and others.
