SHIKARPUR: The election of Shikarpur Press Club for the year 2021 was held at Shikarpur Press Club under the supervision of Sayed Muhammad Ali Shah, the president of District Bar Association Shikarpur with the coordination of Ashique Ali Dayo, here on Thursday.
According to results reached here, Sodho James, Deedar Soomro, Rahim Bux Jamali, Sikandar Khalid Sidiki, Nazir Qureshi, Rahmatullah Soomro, Sultan Rind, Agha Israr Pathan, and Ayaz Mangi were elected unopposed as President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint General Secretary, Treasurer, and four members of the executive committee for the year 2021.
All political, religious, city organizations, notable of the city including Waheed Phulpoto, Adeel Alvi, AK Soomro, Naveed Alam Abro, Zahid Bhanbhro, Zahid Pahore, Ali Asghar Pahore Advocate, Zafar Ali Channa, Zafar Ali Alvi, Wajid Bhutto, Raja Imamuddin Marfani, and others expressed their satisfaction and gave congratulations to the unopposed body and all were optimistic that elected body would play their active role to raise the voice of voiceless people to quarter concerned for the betterment of the city and people as well, besides all the leaders said that journalism is the fourth pillar in the world and people through proper channel with the support of media could resolve their outstanding issues.
