Pakistan takes maximum possible measures to prevent corona

KARACHI: The second and more dangerous wave of Covid 19 (Corona virus) is intensifying worldwide, the number of patients and deaths in many countries including the United States is increasing rapidly and in just ten days Pakistan has 4 times the number of Corona victims and 5 times the death rate. On the rise, the decisions announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan to avert the ravages of this global epidemic are more appropriate, timely, prudent and inevitable than the new and worrisome situation. Briefing the media after the meeting of the Coordination Committee on Corona on Monday, the Prime Minister rightly said that if the people did not take precautionary measures, there was a fear that a June-like situation would arise in the country and hospitals would be filled with patients. He said that the government has banned meetings, processions and public gatherings to deal with the expected situation and has also canceled its meetings. Maintaining social distance and wearing a mask has been made mandatory. Factories and factories and businesses will not be closed, but SOPs will have to be implemented everywhere. Wedding ceremonies in closed spaces will be prohibited. Even in open spaces, the number of guests at such events will not exceed 300. In educational institutions

The holiday will be decided next week. A proposal to extend the winter holidays is under consideration. If the holidays are extended, then the summer holidays will be reduced. The Prime Minister reminded that if the nation adheres to the Corona Prevention Code like the first wave, we will be able to save not only human lives but also our business and economy. He hoped that if the opposition parties, like the ruling parties, closed their meetings, the results would be better for the nation and Corona would be prevented. The Prime Minister’s appeal to the public for precautionary measures against corona is expected to be strictly followed. It is unfortunate that people are now seen in markets, on the streets and in other public places without wearing masks. It is in their own interest to follow the instructions of the government and avoid this deadly epidemic. The same is true of rallies. Even in them, people appear to be sitting or standing close to each other without masks. They should know that in countries where people did not take precautionary measures, there was a lot of loss of life. Even in Pakistan, lives were lost in those areas where no precaution was taken. So far, about 1.5 million people have lost their lives in the world from Corona. The United States alone recorded more than 2.5 million deaths, while Brazil and India recorded more than 1.5 million deaths. During the new wave in Pakistan, the rate of Corona victims has risen to 7.2% from 2.3% earlier. Vaccines for the treatment of corona are being developed in the United States, China and Russia, but their effectiveness has not yet been guaranteed. Five hundred and fifty people died in just one day, despite claims to have developed the drug in the United States itself. Pakistan has decided to book Corona vaccine in advance, which is a far-sighted move. The government is taking necessary steps to prevent and treat the epidemic on its own, but its efforts will be fruitful only if the people follow its instructions and contribute to its prevention.
