KARACHI: A plan has been drawn up to lay off 3,500 employees of the national airline PIA.
Sources said that PIA employees would be laid off under the voluntary separation scheme.
This voluntary separation scheme will cost Rs 12.87 billion.
Sources said that under the voluntary scheme, the employees will get the arrears in two and a half years.
Dismissing 3,500 PIA employees will save Rs 4.20 billion annually.
