PPP’s Mohammad Halipoto wins by-election on PS-70 Badin

BADIN: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has won the provincial assembly seat of PS-70 Badin in by-election.
According to sources by referring to unofficial and preliminary results, PPP’s candidate Haji Mohammad aka Dada Halipoto won by-election of PS-70 Badin-Matli by a wide margin against his other rival candidates.
PPP’s candidate secured 46037 votes with JUI-F tailing behind with 3642 votes, TLP with 1996 and MWM managed nearly 1462 votes when total votes 57620 were pooled with vote turn out so far 35.079.
It is pertinent to mention that the PS-70 had fell vacant after the death of late Bashir Ahmed Halipoto few month ago.
The polling began at 8am and continued till 5pm under strict security measures.
PPP’s workers began celebrating even before the.unofficial results were announced by election authorities. Party workers broke into dance to the beats of drums and distributed sweets over the triumph of PPP’s candidate.
