Provincial Minister Syed Zia Abbas Shah holds open katchehri in Jacobabad

JACOBABAD : Provincial Minister for Works and Services Syed Zia Abbas Shah on the direction of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held an open meeting in Deputy Commissioner Office, Relevant officers of all departments including Deputy Commissioner, SSP, WAPDA, Public Health Engineering, Treasury, Education, Health attended the occasion. Provincial Minister Syed Zia Abbas Shah also sought a list of names of officers present and absent in open court from the Deputy Commissioner.

The Minister said that such open courts were being held across the province on the special instructions of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said that officers of all departments should take steps for immediate redressal of public grievances and problems. The provincial minister listened to the problems of the people in detail in an open forum and also issued instructions on the spot. Syed Zia Abbas Shah assured the people that a full report of the public issues presented with details would be sent to the Chief Minister Sindh so that the issues could be resolved immediately and in a timely manner.

On this occasion, he inquired from the officers present and inquired about the progress made on the issues raised by the people in the last open forum. He said that solving the problems of the people and providing facilities to them is the top priority of the Sindh government. It should be noted that a large number of people participated in the open forum. Apart from the large number of people, members of Sindh Assembly Mumtaz Khan Jakhrani, Muhammad Aslam Abro, Sorab Khan Sarki, District President PPP Mir Liaquat Khan, District Information Secretary PPP Rehmatullah Khoso and other workers were also present on the occasion.

 Later, Syed Zia Abbas Shah, Provincial Minister for Works and Services, while addressing a crowded press conference, said that on the direction of Chief Minister Sindh, ministers, advisors and special assistants to the Chief Minister are holding open rallies across the province so that the people can reached at their doorsteps, Ensure redressal of legitimate grievances. Answering a question, he said that we are the representatives of the people and they are accountable to them so today we are among the people. Replying to another question, he said that under the Works and Services Department, projects worth Rs. 2 billion would be launched in Jacobabad this year while the cost of ongoing projects is about Rs. 1.5 billion. Responding to a question from media persons, he said that people who were selected through a back door are being sought by the people today while PPP has always been and will remain connected with the people. The PPP’s mission and manifesto is to provide all possible facilities to the people. Replying to a question about the existing health centers in the district, he said that modern health facilities were being provided free of cost to the people across the province including Jacobabad. He assured that he would request the Sindh Chief Minister and the Education Minister to set up a university in Jacobabad and initially open a public university campus
