Regional peace in danger!

By: Fizza Ali Saif

India wants to destroy peace not only in the region but also in the world through its continuous aggression against its neighbors, especially Pakistan. The provocative firing on the LoC and the recent attack on a UN van are proof of this. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also pointed out the fact that Indian provocations, especially the targeting of a UN vehicle, are a threat to regional peace. Appreciating the operational readiness of the troops on the front lines, their diligence and professionalism and high morale, he added that the Indian Army would be met with a resounding response to any adventure or aggression. The Pakistan Army will defend the honor, dignity and territorial integrity of the motherland at all costs. It is to be noted that Indian forces are continuously violating the LOC and the Working Boundary by targeting civilians with artillery, heavy and automatic weapons, in which 28 innocent civilians have been martyred and 253 injured this year alone. In this regard, the Army Chief also said that measures would be taken to protect the civilians living on the LoC. In order to curb India’s aggressive behavior, it has become necessary for the international community to play a role instead of being a silent spectator. The world powers have to understand that both Pakistan and India are nuclear powers. Any tension between the two could escalate into a growing nuclear war that will inevitably have repercussions across the globe, and it is Pakistan’s prudent and wise attitude that the growing Indian provocations in recent times have spawned a new major. The form of war has not yet taken shape.
