BADIN: Badin Press Club organized a gorgeous reception in Al-Abbas hall on the otherday to honour “Life Achievement Award” to renowned scholar, intellectual, social reformer and poet of Sindh, Dr. Akash Ansari.
The colorful event was participated by large number of citizens, social activists, writers, intellectuals, literary figures, authors, representatives of traders associations, journalists hailing from different parts of the district and office bearers of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and Hyderabad Union of Journalist (HUJ) and others.
While addressing the event Chief guest well known writer and intellectual Mir Hassan Arisar said Dr. Akash Ansari has brought the modernism in his poetry saying that his poetry was crusade like during MRD which history never forget.
Adding he said Dr. Akash during political struggle sacrificed lot and played immense role against regime of Ziaul Haq and dictatorship.
Mr. Arisar said Dr. Akash ideological remained same as in the past adding he said it was dynamic and unique poetry of Dr. Akash on single topic.
While addressing renowned poet Hafiz Nizamani said they feel proud of Dr. Akash Ansari.
The central Joint secretary of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists, Khalid Khokhar said Badin Press Club has introduced new tradition to honour life achievement award to Dr. Akash in his life.
He said Dr. Akash laid foundation of MRD through inspirational poetry. Mr Khalid said Sindh was facing danger and smart censorship compared to past. The member of central executive committee of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists, Lala Rehman Samoon said the valuable poetry of Dr. Akash belongs to awareness which facilitated vigour and courage. He said Dr. Akash is identity of Sindh province.
While addressing president of Hyderabad Union of Journalists, Jai Parkash Morani said it was regrettable that the Society was snailing to disaster where innocent three years old baby was sexually assaulted and to bring out reforms they need poets like Dr. Akash and Hafiz Nizamani.
While addressing renowned poet Dr. Akash Ansari said Badin Press Club has honoured him which he felt deeply of soul adding that never remained silent but continued struggle for legitimate rights and strived hard for improvement, betterment and reforms.
The event was also addressed by president, Awain-e-sahafat Badin, Haji Khalid Mehmood Ghuman, Senior Vice President of HUJ, Ghulam Mustafa Jamali, president, Tanweer Ahmed Arain, Badin Press Club, Vice president, Badin Press Club, Shoukat Memon and others.
Earlier, Shakhza Shad Altaf Memon presented floral bouquet to the prominent Dr. Akash Ansari.
