Shadab Khan dropped out of the first Test

All-rounder Shadab Khan has been ruled out of the first Test, after which Zafar Gohar has been included in the squad.

The all-rounder complained of pain in his left leg after the third T20 match against New Zealand, after which Shadab will undergo an MRI scan in the tricolor on Thursday.

Only after Shadab’s MRI report will the real nature of his injury come to light as to how long it takes him to return to cricket.

Shadab Khan is not available for the first Test match against New Zealand scheduled at Mount Manganui from December 26 to 30, so the team management has included Zafar Gohar in the national Test squad for the first Test match as a replacement spinner.
