Smart phones manufacturing has been started in the country: Amin-ul-Haq

SUKKUR: Federal Minister for Information Technology Amin-ul-Haq has said that manufacturing of smart mobile phones has been started in the country. It is being reduced from 12.5 per cent to 10 per cent and it will be further reduced next year. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at a local hotel. He said that when the PTI and MQM mix When the government came, at that time it was in the hands of 160 million people of the country but by April 30, 2021 this number has increased to 180 million. In 2018, 70 million people were getting 3G and 4G facility through brand band but today this number is 100 million. He said that we want the youth of the backward areas of the country to have cheap mobile phones in the hands of the youth of the backward areas including Tharparkar, Naseerabad and FATA and for this mobile manufacturing. He said that a policy has been formulated for this purpose which has also been approved by the federal cabinet Yes, even in the 60’s and 70’s we made the mistake of not making cars and if we were making cars, we would have made BMW today, but today we are only able to make their reverse. He said that even in the current situation, IT exports have been the only sector whose exports have increased by 44% in two years. In two years, we have increased IT exports from USD 995 to USD 1.5 billion. And it will be increased to 5 5 billion by 2023. He said that at present, more than 9 IT projects are being implemented in Sindh at a cost of Rs. 8.48 billion, of which 6 projects are 3G and 4. While 3 projects are fiber optical and in this regard 3G and 4G projects are going to be launched in Jacobabad at a cost of Rs. He said that they are trying to ensure the dream of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Digital Pakistan. He said that the purpose of our visit to Sindh last month was The development package announced by the Prime Minister is to be put into practice and therefore Federal Ministers Asad Umar and Muhammad Mian Soomro are also on a visit with me. They said that talks are underway with the heads of companies to improve the mobile network. It will be better soon.
