Son of Renowned Revolutionary Poet Sarvech Sujawali Battling For Life

SUJAWAL: Son of renowned revolutionary Poet Sarvech Sujawali, Information Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party district Sujawal and, a key member of Sindhi Adabi Sangat and a poet himself Suraj Sujawali is battling for life at LUMHS Hyderabad. He contracted coronavirus around 10 days ago.
According to his nephew and attendant, Najeeb Sarvech Suraj was suffering from high-grade fever and had difficulty in breathing but when his condition started deteriorating he was brought to Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro where he is still under treatment.
Quoting doctors he told this correspondent that the lungs of his uncle had been badly infected besides that one of his kidneys had become less functional. He said that doctors would start treatment of his kidneys after he recovers from the virulent disease. He said that according to doctors his lungs were highly infected and it was necessary to bring oxygen levels in his body to normalcy.
On the other hand, the apathetic attitude of top PPP leadership and Sindh Adabi Sangat towards their dynamic member has triggered indignation among the common folk and literati of Sindh. Former Secretary of Sindhi Adabi Sangat Dr. Mushtaq Ful while talking to this correspondent said that the condition of Suraj was worsening with every passing and but the hardheartedness of the members of Sindhi Adabi Sangat and PPP leadership has boggled everybody. He said that it was a pitiless approach on the part of the provincial government that the son of a revolutionary poet devoted his life serving literature and was not provided with quality health facilities.
Meanwhile, Secretary-general Sindhi Adabi Sangat Ahmed Solangi came up with the statement that the Secretary Cultural Department has assured him that all expenses of his treatment would be paid by the Cultural Department. The writers, journalists, and people from different walks of life demanded the Sindh Government for shifting him to Aga Khan Hospital for treatment.
