THATTA: Speakers paid rich tributes to Shaheed Fazil Rahu in two separate events organized by Qaumi Awami Taherik and Awami Pohriyat Taherik at Thatta Press Club and Makli press club to commemorate the 34th death anniversary of Shaheed Fazil Rahu- the leader of peasants on Sunday evening.
Addressing the gathering at Makli press club G.N Khoso the organizer of the event and member of the Awami Tehreek labor wing said that; Fazil Rahu and Rasool Bux Palijo created mass awareness during the dictatorial regimes. They bore the brunt of dictatorship but continued their relentless efforts for the cause of Sindh.
General Secretary Awami Pohriyat Taherik Marvi Palijo Said; “Sindh is reeling through hard times and People of Sindh should play their part to steer Sindh on the path of progress”.
‘People of Sindh are now very much aware of their rights, struggle of Fazil Rahu, Rasool Bux Palijo and other leaders is now bearing fruit’; said President of Thatta Press Club Muhammad Iqbal Khwaja
Social Activist Ayaz Lashari Said that: Fazil motivated and mobilized peasants, laborers, and women, through his speeches to fight for their rights. He further said that; Fazil was against the feudalistic mindset that had isolated our society, it was high time to follow the footsteps of Fazil Rahu and Rasool Bux Palijo
Zulfiqar Rahi, Nawaz Palijo, and Farzana Shoro paid him homage by singing national songs
