Transparent elections were held in Gilgit-Baltistan. If anyone has any complaints, he should go to the Election Commission  

In a media briefing after the meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad, Shibli Faraz said that the cabinet considered the prevention of rape incidents and approved the punishments for the crime of rape.

Shibli Faraz said that the Prime Minister has decided to take strict action against the recent incident of rape in Sindh. The Cabinet has approved the new rape law. We want there to be no gaps in the law. Will be severely punished, the law recommends the death penalty for rape.

Referring to the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, the Federal Minister for Information said that the leaders of the opposition could not accept the defeat. Cases will be registered against those involved in the siege.

He said that if political parties create an atmosphere of tension then there will be no service to the people. If they lose then the elections are rigged and if they win then the elections are fine.

On the occasion, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hamad Azhar said that the Cabinet has enacted legislation on increase in the price of sugar, now a daily fine of Rs 5 million has been imposed instead of Rs 50,000.

Hamad Azhar said that one and a half lakh tonnes of sugar has been imported, the price of sugar has come down by Rs 10 to 12 per kg, crushing of sugarcane has started from November 10 in Punjab and sale of sugarcane has started. The farmer has to get the full price of sugarcane. For the first time in history, crushing of sugarcane has started on time. In the coming days, the price of sugar will be further reduced.
